Can you help use rebuild history? The Grand Western Canal Trust is seeking designs for a twenty-first century canal lift, to replace the world's first commercially successful lifts built one hundred and sixty years ago. This competition is open to multi-disciplinary teams of four, in one of two categories: - Student Category - Graduate Category (engineers working towards chartership, or equivalent in other professions) Where support and/or advice are obtained from colleagues outside those categories it should be acknowledged. Register Interest by Friday 16th April 2010 Submission of competition entry by Friday 16th July 2010 Entries will be shortlisted to three teams from each category who will be invited to give a presentation of 15mins plus 10mins Q&A to the judging panel.
